Soil Stabilizer polymers were originally invented in the United States and have been refined by Canadian and South African scientists particularly for use in road construction. Its usage is however varied and has been utilized as a base for not only road construction, but applied as a base in yard areas, car parks, airfields, parking lots, embankments, land fill and virtually as a substitute for any area that requires a strong ground to support heavy loads. The advantages of using Canlite is apparent from the fact that its application is excellent for use in secondary roads in plantation/estate areas which require roads without the usual expenses associated with road constructed the usual way using tar/bitumen. It does so without much need for gravel/crusher run, the usual stone based substance that is required in large quantities for road construction. In situations where road is constructed using our product, only the top 2 inches of gravel/crusher run is utilized for a typical construction thus minimizing costs tremendously. As a further advantage, construction of a typical road is done using the existing soil from the site thereby cutting down on cost and time as very little outside substance needs to be imported for such construction. A typical secondary road for use in plantation/estate areas to be strengthened would require a depth of roughly 8 inches of soil stabilizer for the base area which is then topped off with a minimum 2 inches of crusher run (which is added only on the next day) and compacted evenly. Thereafter, the road can be utilized with traffic flowing the same day (subject to compliance of our methods) after compaction.
CANLITE BTS Soil Stabilizer
A liquid based polymer that has been adopted for use since its introduction in 2000 in various parts of China, Myanmar and Cambodia. The product was originally invented in (1998) but only introduced in (2000) after going through numerous tests and experiments. With its proven records, we are pleased to introduce this new innovation as a remedy and alternative to the usual enhancers for all types of soil based construction. Canlite has been developed and incorporated with water repelling polymers that decrease the probability of water retaining on the road base or other base forms thus minimizing wear and tear tremendously. The water repelling property intrinsic in Canlite strengthens the soil through the process of dehydration. The condition of the soil treated with a stabilizer such as Canlite makes its density higher with a reduction in water content absorption. Test results conducted after application of Canlite demonstrates such soil to have better properties after altering its composition and to cause an increase in the CBR of the existing road foundation. As such, it proves itself to be an excellent partner in conditions that experience heavy rainfall and variations in the climate. Wear and tear resulting from excessive water is thus minimized.
Because of its water repelling properties, Canlite can also be utilized in areas that are prone to water absorption and retention which increases the risks/threat for landslides or related hazards to occur. The polymerization of Canlite creates a solid film which disperses water upon hardening.
As the product can also be applied on the surface areas of most soil base, Canlite is able to withstand continuous rainfall in such areas with minimal or no risk to potential landslides as water that falls on those areas effectively float away rather than get absorbed as would be the case in an untreated area in most situations. It also minimizes premature erosion and causes areas applied with Canlite Soil Stabilizer to last much longer than normally treated roads/base. This is especially true of swamp lands and peat soil areas. Canlite Soil Stabilizer is a non-corrosive, non-flammable type of product that is environmentally friendly and proven to be free of toxins. In addition, its composition makes it an excellent dust repellent thus its usage minimizes dirt particle contamination into the environment.
